The Steam and Stationary Engine shed at the Heritage Village is home to the Eltham Steam and Stationary Engine Association where the group displays and operates their restored engines.
The stationary engines were used to supply power from a belt pulley to drive machines which were once worked by manpower or horsepower.
Some of the engines were used for pumping water, generating electricity, providing power for milking machines, shearing plants, or chaff cutting.
